Informations

Val Louron Resort is a hidden gem nestled in the heart of the Louron Valley, in the Hautes-Pyrénées, at an altitude ranging from 1,450 to 2,100 meters.
Located on the edge of the majestic fir forest, it overlooks the Génos-Loudenvielle lake and offers an exceptional panorama of the surrounding peaks, including Pic d’Aret and the Néouvielle mountain range.
Val Louron is above all a human-scale resort, renowned for its family-friendly atmosphere, tranquility, and accessibility.
It stands out thanks to its south-facing orientation, which ensures great sunshine all day long, and its preserved natural setting, far from the hustle and bustle of the large Alpine resorts.
The Val Louron ski area includes about 22 kilometers of slopes, spread across 19 to 20 runs depending on snow conditions.
It is divided into two main sectors:
The beginner’s area, wide and safe, is specially designed for novices, with a large fun zone, a snow garden, a conveyor lift, and several green and blue slopes.
The Sarrouyes Pass sector, higher and more technical, offers red runs and one black run, with significant elevation changes and spectacular views over the valley.
The resort is also equipped with several modern ski lifts, including two chairlifts and several drag lifts, ensuring smooth and fast access to the top.
Beyond alpine skiing, Val Louron focuses on a variety of activities.
In winter, visitors can enjoy:
Ski touring or freeriding off the marked slopes (preferably with professional guidance).
Snowshoe walks starting from the resort or from Loudenvielle, with marked trails through the heart of the forest.
Paragliding, a flagship activity of the valley, with a launch site accessible from the resort for spectacular flights above the lake.
Snowkiting, possible when wind conditions allow it on the exposed plateaus.
At the end of the day, visitors can head down to Loudenvielle to unwind at the Balnéa thermal spa, renowned for its Japanese and Roman baths, and its family-friendly areas.
A shuttle service regularly connects the resort with the village and its many facilities.
In summer, Val Louron changes its face but remains just as dynamic.
It becomes a prime starting point for mountain hikes, with routes accessible to families or experienced hikers, notably to Sarrouyes Lake or panoramic ridges.
The site also welcomes downhill mountain biking enthusiasts, thanks to a bike park developed in collaboration with the municipality and local professionals.
The climb to the resort is also one of the favorite routes for road cyclists, as it lies close to famous Pyrenean passes like the Col d’Azet or the Col de Peyresourde.
As for accommodation, Val Louron offers tourist residences, chalets, seasonal rental apartments, and a few local restaurants and shops.
The offer is complemented by Loudenvielle and its many services: supermarket, shops, local market, restaurants, cinema, and leisure activities like Skyvall (a gondola lift linking Loudenvielle to Peyragudes).
In summary, Val Louron is a resort full of charm, ideal for families, beginners, nature lovers, and all those looking for a gentle mountain experience, unpretentious yet rich in emotion.
It charms with its authenticity, value for money, and the preserved beauty of its landscapes. A four-season destination that blends sports, wellness, and nature in rare harmony.

Loudenvieille

Presentation

Located in the heart of the Louron Valley in the Hautes-Pyrénées, the village of Loudenvielle is a true haven of peace at the foot of the mountains.
At an altitude of 950 meters, on the shores of the Génos-Loudenvielle lake, this charming mountain village combines Pyrenean authenticity, modernity, and unspoiled nature.
Loudenvielle is above all a typical village, with its stone houses, slate roofs, Romanesque church, and flower-filled alleys.
But over the years, it has also become a leading destination in the Pyrenees thanks to well-planned and high-quality tourism development.
One of Loudenvielle's major assets is its artificial lake, covering an area of 32 hectares.
It offers a relaxing setting for walks and water activities (pedal boats, paddleboarding, fishing) during the summer.
A developed path allows visitors to walk, bike, or push a stroller all the way around it, in a peaceful setting surrounded by mountains.
The village is also home to Balnéa, the largest thermal spa and wellness center in the French Pyrenees.
This facility features indoor and outdoor baths inspired by various thermal cultures (Japanese, Roman, Incan...), with views of the surrounding peaks.
There are dedicated spaces for children, a relaxation area for adults, as well as treatments, massages, steam rooms, and saunas.
Loudenvielle is also connected to the Peyragudes ski resort via the Skyvall gondola lift, a modern cable car operating in both summer and winter.
It allows skiers, hikers, or mountain bikers to reach the heights quickly without needing a car, while enjoying panoramic views during the ascent.
In winter, Loudenvielle becomes the ideal base camp for snow sports, with easy access not only to Peyragudes via Skyvall but also to the family-friendly Val Louron resort, just 10 minutes away by car.
In summer, the Louron Valley becomes a true outdoor playground:
Hiking for all levels (Sarrouyes Lake, Crêtes de l’Aigle, GR10...)
Downhill mountain biking with dedicated trails from Peyragudes or Val Louron
Road cycling with legendary climbs nearby: Peyresourde, Azet, Aspin
Paragliding, very popular in Loudenvielle, which hosts international competitions each year
Thermal and wellness experiences, with Balnéa, the Génos thermal baths, and many natural relaxation areas
The village also features modern infrastructure:
A cinema, a media library, restaurants, bars, and shops with local products
A regular traditional market with regional producers and artisans
A wide range of accommodation: hotels, tourist residences, campsites, guesthouses, B&Bs, and chalets
Loudenvielle is known for its warm welcome, peaceful atmosphere, and commitment to sustainable tourism.
The village has preserved its identity while providing high-quality tourist facilities, making it a popular destination for families, athletes, and curious travelers seeking an unspoiled natural environment.
In every season, Loudenvielle captivates with the richness of its activities, the beauty of its landscapes, and the gentle Pyrenean lifestyle it perfectly embodies.
It’s a place where you take your time: to explore, to breathe, and to reconnect with what truly matters.
